Keeping Morale High
Established in 1974 as International Contract Specialists, the club became Geylang International in 1975. It was renamed Geylang United in 1996 when the S.League was established, before returning to the name Geylang International Football Club at the start of the 2013 S.League season.
The club won six consecutive National Football League titles from 1975 to 1977 and six successive Premier League titles from 1988 to 1993. In 1996, it won the first S.League series title and defeated SAF FC in the championship final. It later won the league in 2001 and the RHB Singapore Cup in 2009, defeating Bangkok Glass FC in the cup final.
Notable former players listed by the club include Iranian internationals Hamid Estili and Mohammad Khakpour, Singapore football icon Fandi Ahmad, and other Singapore football legends.

Desmond Gay is the Chairman of JGL Worldwide Group and former CEO of Keppel Logisitcs. Desmond serves as the Chairman of Geylang International FC and plays a key leadership role in guiding the club’s strategic direction and community engagement efforts. Desmond is deeply involved in strenghtening the club’s vision of developing local talent while building a strong and sustainable football culture.
